Unlike the "underground" version, this re-tooled all-ages version of the series used the more humble photocopy digest format to gain a following and obtain feedback. Circulation of 200 to 500 per issue, mainly to local comics chain stores and experimental distributors. Back-up stories by other artists.

The first five issues reprint the photocopy digest comics then move on to new material. Monthly for the first two years, then bi-monthly until a year-long hiatus in ‘88-’89. Issues 28-31 erratically published afterward. Back-up stories by other artists. Circulation of 18,000 on first issue followed by regular drops to 10,000 - 5,000 - 3,000, etc. during first two years, ultimately reaching hobby-level sales of 1,500 by issue #27.
